Screening Process
Discover how you can be part of our agency
Join the Helprite team
The health and social care sector has strict compliance requirements, and as a fully regulated Registered Nursing Agency, Helprite has designed our screening process to meet those standards.
But compliance alone isn’t enough. To truly improve the lives of those in need, we want our carers to have:
- The right mindset to deliver skilled and compassionate care to each individual they support.
- The appropriate expertise and training for the specific role, whether it’s epilepsy care, palliative care, or another specialty.
At Helprite, our carers are ambassadors for our mission, so we’re looking for like-minded individuals who share our commitment to excellence in care. Read on to learn more about our screening process.

What to expect
After your initial application, we will guide you through the four stages of our hiring and registration process:
Stage 1: Skills Assessment & Interview
Following your application, we’ll invite you to complete a brief skills assessment to identify your strengths and review your previous training. After some paperwork, we’ll have a conversation to learn more about your background and availability, share details about the work we do at Helprite, and answer any questions you may have.
Stage 2: Reference Checks & PVG Update
Once we’ve received all the necessary documents and forms, we’ll contact your references and update your PVG membership. We aim to complete this stage as quickly as possible, but please note that it depends on Disclosure Scotland’s processing times.
Stage 3: Induction Training
After the interview and skills assessment, we’ll schedule your induction training, including any additional social care training required before you start working with us. This complimentary training will be provided by our sister company, Helprite Staffing, through fully compliant and regulated in-house social care courses.
Stage 4: Ready to Start
Once you’ve successfully completed all stages, you’ll receive your contract, ID badge, tunic, and staff handbook. We’ll then confirm your availability and schedule your first shifts!
