What I appreciate most is the flexibility and the lack of pressure from Helprite to pick up shifts. The office staff, including the management team, are friendly and approachable. Helprite checks in with you at least once a week to see how you’re doing and to gather feedback about your work placements. Shifts are posted in advance, making it easier to plan your schedule and balance work with family life. They also try to keep you at the same locations.”

I really enjoy working at Helprite because it offers a wide range of experiences within the care sector. I found this job to be incredibly flexible, which really helped me build my confidence. Having never worked with vulnerable people before, I learned a lot on the job. In fact, my thesis was influenced by something I observed in one of the houses I worked in, and it earned me a distinction. Many of my assignments were supported by what I learned while working with Helprite, and I’m not sure I would have achieved the grades I did during my nursing training without this experience. This job has definitely improved my confidence, especially as a young adult. I learned to be responsible, apply the SSSC and NMC codes in practice, and handle challenging behaviors presented by clients. I also gained skills in professional communication, resolving conflicts with difficult staff, and various de-escalation techniques. The job was easy to fit around my placements and university work, and I consider it a blessing.
